July 2026

The following enhancements, fixes, and completed work shipped in Aunsight Data Services during July 2026. Changes are summarized below by feature area.

Map-Assist

Continued build-out of the AI-assisted mapping capability: enriched ERM metadata, warehouse profiling, and the Map-Assist Solution Action that generates dataflows from a mapping plan.

  • New — Map-Assist added as a Solution Action, including a dynamic artifact output and disabling the store step in the dataflow converter for the release configuration.
  • New — Dataflow converter improvements: fixes and SQL-generation optimization to make conversion faster and more accurate, reducing "no dataflow" outcomes.
  • New — Warehouse profiling enrichment and local-warehouse profiling parallelism to speed up and deepen the metadata Map-Assist relies on.
  • New — ERM metadata updates pushed through the automapping pipeline for IDW-F / EIT, including live client project creation and automap testing.
  • New — Relationship ERM updates propagated through the mapping flow.
  • New — Notes carried through Map-Assist: notes from the extract and for Mapped Model and Supplemental Model tables now pass through the mapping process; model-only config retained on the Map-Assist action.

ERM Metadata Expansion

Expansion of the entity-relationship model to support richer metadata and first-class relationships, underpinning automapping and lineage.

  • New — Migration, UI, and export support for expanded ERM metadata — the model can now store, edit, and export additional entity/field metadata.
  • New — Field-level link properties migrated to the new relationship block, so join information lives in one consistent place and exports as relationships.
  • New — ERM metadata is updated on publish, passing relationship information through so the exported model stays in sync.
  • New — Relationship profiling implemented for local warehouses, producing relationship metrics used for FK validation.

Notes for Unstructured Knowledge

A new Notes capability lets users attach rich, versioned notes to ADS objects — capturing tribal knowledge, context, and documentation directly alongside the data and configuration it describes.

  • New — Notes backend API with full CRUD, version history, and activity tracking.
  • New — Read-only note UI components (list and detail views) for browsing notes on an object.
  • New — Create, update, and delete note UI components for authoring and maintaining notes in-app.
  • New — Notes integrated into supported object views so they appear in context on the entities they describe.
  • New — Notes included in installation metadata export, so knowledge travels with the installation.
  • New — Language-specific syntax highlighting for fenced code blocks within notes.
  • New — Note permissions inherit from the target object's permissions.
  • New — Notes version-history UI for viewing prior revisions of a note.
  • New — Notes managed by the Solution Manager with a full validate / apply / publish lifecycle.
  • New — Field-level notes authored at the entity level: a note can be scoped to a specific field from the entity-level Notes UI, with a searchable Target dropdown and scope shown in the list and viewer.

Data Lineage Generator

New Solution Actions available to data engineers.

  • New — Data Lineage Generator added as a Solution Action: generates a lineage document (per-field, with source tables/fields, human-readable logic, and SQL) from the Local Source Model to the Mapped Model, for all tables or a selected set.

StarRocks Accelerated Warehouse (SRDB)

Support for StarRocks DB as an accelerated-warehouse backend, giving ADS a second AWHS engine alongside Exasol with equivalent behavior across migration, loading, querying, vector search, and consumption.

  • New — Compute Environment / Compute Environment Tenant / AWHS DTO changes to declare and configure a StarRocks-backed accelerated warehouse.
  • New — SRDB warehouse:migrate support, so accelerated-warehouse schema migrations run against StarRocks.
  • New — SRDB LWHS→AWHS loading, moving data from the local warehouse into a StarRocks accelerated warehouse.
  • New — Asynchronous and synchronous AWHS→UWHS query support for SRDB, matching the Exasol query experience.
  • New — Vector search support on StarRocks-backed AWHS tables, fully interchangeable with Exasol vector search.
  • New — Consumption API support for SRDB-backed AWHS tables, with the same scoping, authorization, and query semantics as Exasol.
  • New — Manual SRDB migration script for cases where a full draft publish isn't available to the data engineer.

Pipelines, Publishing & Local Bucket

On-demand ingestion, publishing, and Local Bucket enhancements completed this cycle.

  • New — On-Demand Pipeline — configurable Awaiting-Recovery TTL (recovery_ttl) on stored runs: controls how long a failed workgraph submission stays in awaiting-recovery before a final state (default 12 hours). Setting it to 0 sends a failed attempt to a non-blocking expired state, so a prior attempt no longer blocks the next scheduled run — unblocking high-frequency on-demand ingestion.
  • New — Selective publishing: users can publish only their data changes without being forced into a full publish; selecting the solution-settings change still triggers a full publish, with a warning in the modal.
  • New — Local Bucket → User Bucket transfer task (bucket:transfer-to-bucket, LBKT→UBKT) with configurable merge options, pre/post state assertions, and Bucket-Location support.

Data Acquisition & Others

Source coverage and platform-level changes.

  • New — Sync-Agent plugin for ITGlue, enabling acquisition of ITGlue documentation content for the unstructured-data pipeline.
  • New — AUGR traffic routed through a Cloudflare WAF to address firewall and threat-protection requirements.
  • New — Task Page Artifacts: multi-select checkboxes with Select All and bulk download, so a DE can download several artifacts at once.
  • New — AU2→AU3 dataflow converter expanded with additional expression conversions (e.g. RegexExtract, Replace, SwitchCase, LPad, and others).

Bug fixes

Defects resolved during July 2026.

  • Fix — Auto-migrate no longer fails with a false field-mismatch error.
  • Fix — Create View: aliasing a boolean field no longer stores the field with the wrong type.
  • Fix — Transfer failures after using auto-migrate resolved.
  • Fix — Boolean datatype no longer displays as an integer.
  • Fix — Publish no longer resolves module templates against the draft, which had leaked draft config into the published execution workflow.
  • Fix — Users are now warned that remote deliverable-model entity changes require running production discovery.
  • Fix — New toolbelt commands no longer return undefined.
  • Fix — Draft Delete fixed.
  • Fix — Log Out no longer redirects the user to a Bad Request error page.
  • Fix — Consumption API tool-execution error handling corrected.
