Data storage¶
Aunsight Data Services stores data in two forms:
- Warehouses hold structured data — tables of rows and columns, queryable with SQL.
- Buckets hold unstructured data — arbitrary files and folders, like an object store or filesystem.
Each form comes in a few variants depending on where the data lives and who owns it — local (inside ADS), remote (an external source system), and user (scoped to a user or a pipeline module's working space).
- Warehouses — structured, tabular storage; local, remote, user, and accelerated warehouses
- Buckets — unstructured file storage; local, remote, and user buckets
